Birger Sæther Wessel is a composer from Røros, Norway. He creates music that ranges from soaring orchestral scores to cute and charming retro-game sounds and anything in-between.

Birger Wessel has been interested in creative endeauvors all his life. But it was when he discovered the medium of composition in his teens that he knew what he was going to do. After studying composition with several highly profiled teachers and studying music for media at Kristiania, he won the “Golden Sprout”- “Gullspireprisen” award for his talents in composition for film and games.

Birger is particularly inspired by works that depict the wonders of nature and innocent childhood. In accordance with this, he sees it as his main goal as an artist to capture this in the most unfiltered way possible. Hopefully he can help someone to reawaken a forgotten memory and brighten up their day.

Birger is currently living outside of Oslo, working full time with music for film, game and animation.
